Ivan Aivazovskiy

Ivan Aivazovsky (1817-1900) - the most popular painter of seascapes, devoted his creativity "free verse" - the sea. Crimean Armenian by origin, he studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under Mikhail Vorobyov even in Pushkin's era and has remained faithful to the characteristic motifs of Romanticism until the end of the century.
